No human has ever escaped Shanidev's Sadesati period. However most of us have survived through this tough period.

Saadesati is a period of approximately 7.5 years in astrology when Saturn (Shani) transits through the 12th, 1st, and 2nd houses from a person's moon sign. This is believed to be a challenging period for the individual, as Saturn is considered to be a malefic planet that can bring obstacles and difficulties.

During Saadesati, people may experience various challenges in their personal and professional lives, including financial setbacks, health issues, and relationship problems. However, the severity of the impact of Saadesati can vary depending on the individual's horoscope and the position of other planets.

To alleviate the effects of Saadesati, it is recommended to perform certain rituals and remedies. These may include performing Shani puja. Devotees offer various items to Shanidev to seek his blessings and alleviate the effects of Saturn's negative influence.

One can alleviate or reduce intensity of the bad effects of ShaniDev's Sadesati period. But nobody can escape it. Shani DevPoojan is one of the ways to reduce negative influence. Nevertheless, one's Past Karma and ongoing Karma plays significant role during Sadesati. And that's shy ShaniDev is known as KarmPhal daataa.

Here are some common offerings you can make to Shanidev:

• Black sesame seeds: Shanidev is said to be appeased by black sesame seeds. Offer a handful of these seeds to the deity on Saturdays or during Shani Jayanti.
• Mustard oil: Lighting a lamp with mustard oil before the deity is considered an effective way to please Shanidev.
• Iron: Iron is said to be Shanidev's favorite metal. Offer iron nails, horseshoes, or blacksmith tools to the deity.
• Blue or black clothes: Shanidev is usually depicted wearing blue or black clothes. Offering these colored clothes to the deity is believed to bring good luck.
• Donations: Donating food, clothing, or money to the needy on Saturdays or during Shani Jayanti is considered a way to please Shanidev.

About The Navgraha Shani Temple, Ujjain : 

This is one of the MOST Powerful and Oldest Shani Peeth in India. It is said that Emperor Vikramaditya worshipped ShaniDev here.

This temple is located at the outskirts of the city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated near Triveni Ghat. This temple is unique as it has idols of all nine planets or Navgrahas along with Lord Shani.

The temple is believed to have been built in the 18th century and is located near the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

Details of Shani Grah Daan and Offerings:

We will be offering some of the items on your behalf, that would appease ShaniDev. Offerings would include - Mustard Oil, Black Sesame, Urad, Flowers, Black Cloth.

ShaniDev Mantra will be chanted during this DevPoojan (Daan) and during offerings. Your name and Gotra will be pronounced during Shani DevPoojan.
